Yes, the movie starring Tom Cruise called the Last Samurai holds many truths about the industrial revolution in Japan. After being intimidated by Commodore Perry the Japanese moved all their resources into capitalism and began building all kinds of factories and industries and to go along with all this modernization the emperor also mandated the end of the samurai class in Japanese society. Instead of having an elite class of warriors, the Japanese would turn towards a modernized military that drafts people from within he country instead of training a small group of elite warriors. When this first happened there were many groups like the one described in the movie who were against the modernization of Japan and who were ready to revolt against the emperor in order to save the nation. These rogue samurai, also known as ronin, were a notorious and large threat to the nation for the first few years after industrializing.
Many, chief among them being the fact that there was no historical basis for Tom Cruise's character, he was simply invented in order to give the movie star power and therefore more money for production.
The movie also depicts Katsumoto (based on the real-life samurai Saigo Takamori) as using nothing but traditional methods of war and arms (swords, arrows, armour, etc). In reality, Takamori used modern strategies and weapons (guns, cannon, etc), and even died wearing western military garb.
No, since in 1600 the tokugawa shogunate made it impossible move between social ranks. peasents could not become samurai, they couldn't even legally carry swords. To become a samurai after 1600 you had to be born into the samurai

In spite of starring Tom Cruise, the Last Samurai is a great film. Ken Watanabe is brilliant.
The samurai of the 17th century were not exactly the samurai we all think of when we look at movies like The Last Samurai or any of those classic films which Quentin Tarantino is such a fan. In fact the early 17th century began a class of Samurai which we call the Edo or Tokugawa period of the Samurai's history in which they moved from being the famed warriors of Japan and became more of a political/bureaucratic nobility. It was not uncommon at all for the Samurai of this period to purchase and wear fine silks and clothes of the highest quality.
The way of the warrior
When a card refers to a 'Six Samurai' monster, it means any monster with the words "Six Samurai" in the name. Therefore those cards will affect monsters such as Hand of the Six Samurai, and the 'Legendary Six Samurai' monsters.
I don't know any movie with name 'the horror movie'. Antonia Beamish is the actress in 'the last horror movie'.
Samurai Champloo , Afro Samurai , Samurai 7 , Ninja Scroll , Street Fighter ,
No. During the Feudal Era of Japan, only the aristocracy and samurai were allowed surnames (last names). Because Sango is not a member of any of these classes, she would not have a last name, similar to the other characters of the era, including Miroku, Kaede, and so on.
