Is there any truth that Muslims are blocking the streets of New York City while praying?

I've never seen any Muslims blocking the New York City streets or sidewalks while praying. Sometimes you see Muslims praying on the sidewalk, but there's always plenty of room for other people to walk by.
And they definitely don't kneel down to pray in the streets, where the traffic is. That would be very stupid. The cars wouldn't be able to see them down there, so they'd get run over.
