Nickels dated 1883 to 1912 carry a portrait of Miss Liberty.
The simple answer is the 5 known Proof 1913 Liberty Head Nickels that were never intended for circulation and whose legality is somewhat in doubt.
Generally these end up in a "grab box" at a dealer where they retail for 15 to 25 cents as novelty items. It's a shame that the Mint did not act earlier to recess the date on this design. It's still considered a classic, but the idea of making the date the highest point of the design, and thus wearing off first, was pretty dumb.

Buffalo nickels were made from 1913 to 1938. Any coin dated 1877 is a replica or fantasy piece whose value depends on whether it contains any precious metals. Of course, all genuine buffalo nickels were struck in an alloy of 75% copper and 25% nickel so they have almost no intrinsic value, only collector value.

Face value only. Nickels are the only denomination whose composition has not changed in the last 60 years so except for one or two rarer issues such as a 1950-D, they are generally not valuable.
