Lymphoma is a cancer, and as such is generally unresponsive to most medications -- it is healthy tissue, but misprogrammed, as it were, and so drugs generally can't act against it as they would be able to against invading life forms like bacteria. However, there are many documented cases of spontaneous remission of cancers in humans, and it is possible that the same can happen in cats. Spontaneous remission is very rare in humans, of course, and so it would be expected to be very rare in cats as well.
