Yes. There are several ways, but here I shall give you two:
1. The earth gets knocked out of it's normal orbit around the sun by some giant object crashing into it, or by a gravitational anomaly (black hole). If it is knocked into a new path that causes it to spiral towards the sun, then eventually it would come into contact with the sun.
2. When our sun depletes its fuel, it will start to expand rapidly to form a red giant. The diameter of this red giant would expand beyond the earth's distance from the current sun and therefore, boil and then swallow the earth.
