Actually, ordinary cocoa (such as Hershey's cocoa) IS chocolate, but contains just 0.5 g fat (unsaturated) per tablspoon, and only 3 g of carbs. It's often cheaper than carob or other chocolate alternatives, especially since just a tablspoon or two will give a nice chocolate flavor. This won't work, however, if you're allergic to chocolate.
AnswerTry the health food stores for carob. You will find snack foods made with carob as well as carob powder and carob bars for cooking. It is a substitute for chocolate.
