Remove the floor
Rub it with a rough rag dipped in Goof Off, it will soon soften enough to peel it off.
Painter's tape or any other kind of tape should never be used on a wooden floor. Even though the newly-finished floor may be cured, the tape can remove the finish. To cover the wooden floor, tape the drop-cloth to the baseboards.
Rent a floor sander from Home Depot and remove it all very quickly. -Be sure to wear mask and goggles, it makes a lot of dust you don't want to inhale

You should immediately try to mop up, or remove as much, if not all, of the water as you can. Leaving the water on the wood floor will cause it to warp out of shape.

Acetone takes nail polish off of most anything, but then you lose the coating and stain. So, use a non-acetone remover and/or mineral spirits. Most likely, you will have to restain and recoat the area.
