sadly, no. the Pokemon you "befriend" are only temporary, they practically don't exist. its the patner Pokemon that are like captured Pokemon but you cant even trade them. basically, theyre different platforms. the scripting and engineering are like opposites and as a matter of fact, theres no place to trade Pokemon in Pokemon rangers.

TAKE EVERY QUEST YOU SEE!!! If someone mentions one of the partner Pokemon (Look for them on the Pokemon ranger website. All the ones dotted around are partner Pokemon), GO FOR IT!!! If not, do it anyway, as it could save you a lot of trouble later in the game due to the defence things. The only few I think you can't get are...MunchlaxStarlyPachirisuIf you chose one of them at the start of the game. For example, if you chose Pachirisu (As I did), you'll never get the other two. So I think you can never get all of them...

Well I own Crystal, and when I met red he was very hard to beat. But anyway the answer would be yes, because i got to battle him like five times. It was awsome beating his Pokemon. Oh by the way if you want to know what Pokemon he has these are it: pikachu, snorlax, umm... sorry but i can't remember what the others were, but I'll put them back in as soon as i figure out what Pokemon he has again. lol >_< they are pikachu, snorlax, blastoise, charizard, venasaur, and lapras.
