Overload or dead short to ground
The Villager does not use fusible links that I am aware.
Fucible de luses delantales
Have you checked If copper plate main fusible link in underhood ok ? Defective ignition switch is another posibility.
What ever circuit that fusible link protected would be dead if the fusible link is blown.
do a 1997 cutlass olds. have fusible link
The fuseable link for the ignition could be on the starter, or running along the firewall. on that year it should have a in-line fusible link near the starter. you can find at any auto parts place.
Where is the fusible link on a 2002 Camry, and how do I change it.
1. Dead battery (2) Loose or disconnected cable (3) Burnt out fusible link (4) Starter is stuck (5) Bad ignition switch or wiring
Here's the official "long answer". There are many fused points for you to check, but give it a try. Remember, observe electrical safety!Cigar Lighter SupplyCircuit supplyA feed from the battery positive terminal is connected by a R wire to the enginecompartment fusebox, where it passes to fusible link 8 and fusible links 1 and 7which are connected in series. The feed from fusible link 7 is connected to theauxiliary circuits relay mounted in the engine compartment fusebox. The feed from fusible link 8 is connected to the passenger compartmentfusebox on an NW wire and from the fusebox to the ignition switch on an Nwire.Ignition switch supplyWhen the ignition switch is in position I or II, the feed from fusible link 8 flowsthrough the ignition switch) to the passenger compartment fusebox on an LGWwire. The feed continues through fuse 26 and is connected by an LG wire tothe auxiliary circuits relay. The feed passes through the auxiliary relay coil andis connected to earth header C0018, via header C0285 LHD/C0288 RHD on aB wire. The auxiliary circuits relay is energised which closes the relay contacts. Thisallows the feed from fusible link 7 to pass through the relay contacts to thepassenger compartment fusebox on a WG wire. The feed then passes throughfuse 15 and is connected, through header C0286 LHD/C0291 RHD to the cigarlighter on an LGW wire. The cigar lighter is connected through header C0286LHD/C0288 RHD to earth header C0018 on a B wire.
Hello, I am fairly sure that there is no fuse as we know the definition of a 'fuse'. However, I know for certain that there is a fusible link wire from the starter solenoid battery terminal up of about 3 inches long. When it burns you lose powere to ignition, ign coil, distributor and others. REPLACE THE FUSIBLE LINK WITH ANOTHER FUSIBLE LINK AND NOT WITH A REGULAR PIECE OF WIRE. **THAT CAN LEAD TO DISASTER** Hope this helps. Israel Delgado
The circuit the fusible link protects would be dead (no power).
