One of the major types is Demodetic Mange which is caused by a mite that many animals naturally have in their hair. This kind can be inherited and can cause hair loss. There is another kind called sarcoptic which is also caused by a mite, but by a different kind and can actually be passed onto other creatures.

Can sulfadine help a dog with some types of mange?
I don't know, but I have cured a dog of one type of the mange by the application of burnt motor oil. When I say burnt, I mean oil that has been drained from the crankcase of a vehicle when the oil was changed. An older man told me it would work, and the dog was fine within a short time. i don't know if it will help with other kinds of mange.
