Minimum Temperature in Schools:

The "Property Maintenance Code of New York State", section 602.4 for "Occupiable work spaces", requires that "indoor occupiable work spaces be supplied with heat during the period from September 15th to May 31st to maintain a temperature of not less than 65ºF (18ºC) during the period the spaces are occupied." The only exceptions are for processing spaces (coolers or freezers) and vigorous physical activities areas (Gymnasiums).

In New York what is the house law that pertains to the length of time a tenant must reside in an apartment before the rent can be 'frozen'?

There is no such law. Some areas of NYS housing law offer benefits to tenants who remain in an apt for over twenty years or who reside in an apt at age 62 or older. Such laws do not apply to every renter in NYS. The only way in which a rent can be frozen in NYS is for unresolved violations and by court order.

Can geese fly?

They are planning to kill THOUSANDS of Canada Geese in New York CITY!! They are going to do this during moulting season when they can't fly. They will trap and kill them. Supposedly, this will keep all plane/bird accidents from ever happening again!! It's supposed to start in a week (from now 6/15/09)http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/stop-nys-goose-gassing-planPlease go to above link to stop this!Canadian geese migrate in abundance during the fall season. They have a familiar "voice" which i always tune into, and i never cease to gaze up in amazement, as they soar above in "V" formation. This very night i went out on my porch. The hour was half past midnight. I heard that distinct trumpeting sound very distant.... i knew they would soon be flying overhead!I guess they just fly whenever the heck they feel like it...?Must be nice to soar above a full moon, and go where the weather is best.God's creatures are survivalists, and Canadian geese are no exception.Man and all his technology knows NOTHING about air traffic control!!praise GOD.....
