Is there some kind of spray that will keep puppies from chewing on things they aren't suppose to?

don't bother buying sprays, just a waste of money, I got this tip and it works, sounds weird tho, Now hear me out.... you know the pup loves their owners smell, so take some of your socks or both you and anyone who lives with you socks, they must be a little dirty with your scents on them, use old ones if you can, make sure they have a least 2 days use on them. Then tie them up together to make a toy, like a bunch of wide ropes, then soak them with water, then put them into a plastic freezer bag, when frozen give to the pup, it will help stop his chewing, and he will then play with it, till its in shreds and you will have to make another, make 2 while you are at it. this should solve your problem. I've been thru the chewing many a time, my alligator shoes!!! my new fishing rod,,geez the things they chew on. I have a Cockapoo male and he went through the chewing stage. Puppies are like human babies and do teeth. I went and got a hard rubber baby teething ring and put it in the freezer then gave it to him. He loved it and it was soothing to his gums. I still buy these plastic/rubber toys shaped in a bone with prongs on them and he is now just over a year old and loves to chew on that old thing. Thus, no more chewing on anything around the house, but he'll steal socks, my husband's underwear and is a complete kleptomaniac! LOL Thankfully he doesn't ruin anything, but he does have 2 stashes around the house and when he's not looking I retrieve what I need too.
