One of the best ways to calm a horse down is to calm youre self down, if hes nervous you'll get nervous and its a vicious cycle! one way to calm your self down is to put vanilla on the wrists, also if you have a a warm up time take him out and ride in a fimiliar exercise. Also he is probably nervous because of all the commotion, take him to other shows dont show him just let him be there to show him no one is going to kill him, also if he has a friend take them so that he has somone to comfert him.
