Any that are built in an earthquake area if you don't want them to fall. And any that would not stand on their own in an earthquake.
yes
The energy in the Richter scale will not of itself kill anyone. Indeed if you are outside in an open area you are likely to be safe (baring cracks in the ground and liquefaction. It is things falling on you that will kill you and that depends on the design of the building/structure you are in. A weak earthquake in a poor building can kill you. A strong earthquake in a well built building will probably not kill you.
unfortunately yes an 11.0 or higher earthquake could happen tho the earthquake itself would not be the problem the cause of the Earthquake would be the most devastating being caused by either a super Volcano or a large Asteroid hitting the earth. the likely hood of survival anywhere on Earth would be very very slim to none for any type of animal including humans or plant life, although I am sure something would survive Humans would probably would not be one of them.
I would say like in the corner of any room in the building that doesn't have any windows inside of it.
how can studying earthquake damaged help designers improve future construction is by understanding what would you need and to build this or that building to prevented damaged building
San Francisco
yes
how would you react if the earthquake happenend now
This would depend on what size, type of building you are going to build. If it was a house I would build a timber one because it would flex in an earthquake
Get off the ground. i.e. In an Airplane.
maybe.but if you if u just get lucky you might survive
no,because the earthquake would keep on going no for a long time and many people may not survive

yes because there in earthquake perimeter
If you were on Mars having an spacesuit on would/could help you with the lack of air, but not in an earthquake. An earthquake does not remove oxygen from the air . The only reason to wear the spacesuit is to provide oxygen.

The Mercalli scale would most likely be used to measure earthquake damage.
