Is there such a thing as a miracle or can science explain it all?

Science can't explain everything, and especially not anticipating everything in the future.
While the Human Immune System can be explained scientifically, there are effects of the brain on the immune system that are poorly understood. Essentially a will to live or a belief that one will overcome can trump all the science in the world. But, not for everyone, just in a few cases.
Miracles? Random Luck? Brain Power?
It is hard to really know. I suppose that brings up a point. If you say there is a 99% chance of something happening. Then that leaves a 1% chance that it will not happen. Science considers that remaining 1% to be determined purely by chance. A toss of a coin. I suppose there will be an element that we will never know.
This brings one back to the difference between anecdotal evidence and statistical evidence. You will always find an anecdote of a miraculous recovery. But, perhaps it is just a single case based on luck. Statistics help determine population trends, but don't always indicate what will happen to an individual.

No, science, at it's current level, cannot explain every single thing in the natural world. However, 2000 years ago it couldn't even explain the sun. 1000 years ago it couldn't explain a rainbow. 100 years ago it couldn't explain the continents moving. 50 years ago it couldn't explain DNA. Now we know all of these things and they can be explained. Science explains more and more very day. It may never be able to explain every last anomaly but it can explain most of it. Give it another 50 years and we might know something new that's completely revolutionary.
