Yes. There an over reliance on logic is possible. Once an incorrect value is added to an argument, the whole argument becomes invalid. It becomes quite difficult to recognize a mistake exists.

It did not work. Average children needed far more discipline. Educators kept insisting progressive education was the logical way to proceed.
Every now and them someone in Physics comes up with something logical that is backed up by math and that a mathematical formula proves to be true. Take it with a grain of salt. There is a formula that proves bumblebees and hummingbirds can not fly. Another formula says a locomotive can not pull a train.
Logic is a good tool to clarify thinking. It is a tool, not a master.
