There are certain plants that does not photosynthize.
I found this on the web regarding this issue:
Indian pipe, Monotropa uniflora, is a saprophytic flowering plant found in the northern U.S. that is almost completely white when in bloom, occaisionally tinged with pink, and does not photosynthesize. One-flowered cancer root, or ghost pipe, Orobanche uniflora, is a parasitic flowering plant. The flowers are pale lavender to whitish, stems are greenish. J. Elliott
The question was not really about photosyntesizing, only regarding Energy and From the sun.
Since all living things need energy in one way or the other, they all get energy from the sun. Either directly or indirectly by eating the nutrition from living (parasitic behaviour) or dead.
Certain fungi can also live very well without any sunlight at all, but they do get energy from dead matereal in order to grow.
I suppose one could synthesize organic material from only chemichals and various acids, and use this as a growthmedium in which fungi would thrive, possibly even the some plants as Elliot pointed out in his answer before.
Plantlike Organisms far down in sea can also live without light as long as they have access to sulfur and warmth. This is mainly due to certain bacterea that can get energy out of sulfuric reactions. This bacterea provides their host with energy, but the host also feed on dead organisms and nutritions floating in water.
Regards.
Organisms share energy from the sun in the food web. A plant converts the energy from the sun into chemical energy, then an animal eats the plant. Sun->Plant Plant->Rabbit Rabbit-> Snake Snake->Eagle Then the foodchain may stop with the Eagle
by photosynthesis
Chlorophyll. They get it from the sun.
The sun!
The potato plant uses energy from the sun in order to grow. The cow eats grass - which has used energy from the sun to grow.
sugar
Mesophyll Plant cell traps sun energy for plant.
A plant is an example

Energy
Heat energy comes from the sun because when the sun is out people would have heat around the place.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they get their energy from the sun..... i think
They receive their energy from the sun.
sun
The Sun
no sunlight gives the plant energy,no energy no growth
a planet get's it's energy from the sun. :)
