You may have downloaded it from a rouge site. It means you dowloaded it from a site with a virus in the Malware Bytes. Try to uninstall it. If that doesnt work go to filehippo.com and search for Malware Bytes in the top search bar. Download it there and try to run it. It should take the rouge one off. Also if it just stops working or when you click it it doesnt pop up give it time. There is nothing wrong with Malware Bytes it just needs to start up.

I don't KNOW...? IS THIS malware? or something simple to go into settings and change on the browser?
I've found it to be pretty safe, but I did encounter a nasty piece of malware from watching one of the videos. The videos are just embedded on their site, but they are actually hosted on other sites and they would be responsible for the malware. Just make sure your anti virus is up to date and that you take the normal precautions that you would visiting any website.
I believe that if you are simply browsing and not actually going to the site, there is little to no chance of any virus and/or malware reaching your computer. Even with that said it's still a good idea to get an antivirus program(s) I'd recommend AVG Free Edition and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
