Sterling Silver is easily attacked by chemicals such as chlorine in pools which will make it turn partially black which is Silver Sulfate but can be re-polished. Titanium makes more sense if you abuse your rings more violently in the elements so choosing is up to whether you like the color durability or weight of the rings.
