Unfortunately, this isn't the case. Before the Mexican War on Drugs was started (2006), murder rate was 8 intentional homicides per 100,000 inhabitants. By mid-2016, it has surged to around 20 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants throughout the country. Nowadays, the most dangerous region in Mexico is the Southwest Pacific (between the cities of Manzanillo and Acapulco), where the murder rates range from 46.9 to 78.8, putting the region as dangerous as say, Venezuela or Afghanistan, where the threats of civil war and terrorism are always a possibility.
Yes, but violence has improved on specific cities and regions. Cities such as Juarez, Tijuana and Mexicali have improved their safety record, while other cities such as Matamoros and Nuevo Laredo have become more dangerous to nationals and international tourists alike.

Violence
Depends on what you define as gun violence and where you look. Subjectively: It is getting worse in UK, despite near-total gun ban. It is not getting worse in US.
Absolutely not. Violence is never better than romance; if you are with a partner who is violent towards you, then you need to get out. Violence does not show love or affection; it shows disrespect and lack of concern for you. Lack of romance doesn't have to be a dealbreaker, but violence does.
Is there any trouble with drug dealers and violence from Mexico in El Cajon, CA and the San diego, Ca areas?
Islam and quran both are against use violence in any action where violence could have been substituted for non-violent actions there really isn't a better or worse to either one, they are both protests and, according to history, both usually end with getting what they were about.
