i would say a land animal because even though they spend a lot of there time in water they live on the ice
I would probably say either a hippopotamus or a walrus. I'm not sure about the weight comparison there.

I'm pretty sure it was a land animal. Like a modern day tiger or lion but with large teeth that stick out of it's mouth like a walrus.
