Florida is known for its moderate weather. Even in winter, the average low in Orlando is only 50 degrees F. While it might be too cold for Splash Mountain or the water parks, the weather is perfect for just about everything else. If you are visiting Walt Disney World during the first three weeks of December, you'll be treated to seasonal decorations and fairly light crowds. However, the week between Christmas and New Year's is one of the resort's busiest times.

No- he died on the last day of November 1966, the weather was cold but it wasn't snowing. A popular urban myth is that Disney had his body cryogenically frozen, and that it is now stored beneath the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' ride in Disneyland. This is totally untrue- he was in fact cremated on the 16th December '66 and his ashes interred at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
From November to January, Orlando Florida can get into the low 50s.
Well, that is not exactly true. Disney World is in Florida, in the southern part of the United States, where it rarely snows. But, it does snow in Disney World, in fact it snowed when we were there in November 2006. People were buying jackets and gloves, caps like crazy. No one was prepared. We had a great time, but we were cold.
December is cold in the northern hemisphere and warm in the southern hemisphere.

Walt suffered from stress-induced nervous conditions (starting in 1931). One doctor believed it to be a thyroid deficiency, prescribing a series of injections, which only made the condition worse. His usual course of treatment (always successful) was lengthy vacations away from the studio. During a polo game in 1937, Walt was injured and crushed four cervical vertebrae. Instead of being placed in a cast, the chiropractor who treated him actually contributed to an arthritic condition. It also caused calcium deposits in his neck. The pain intensified with age, and he received daily treatment for it. In the 1950s he began having sinus issues. Weekly treatment was prescribed for this pain, but Walt was more susceptible to infections and cold. It is also believed that he has pneumonia at least twice. Walt was a long-time smoker and was diagnosed with lung cancer in 1966, during a surgical consultation for his old polo injury. An X-ray show a walnut-sized spot on his left lung. After having the lung removed, his health continued to fail. He had little strength or appetite. Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966 of acute circulatory collapse.
"Midnight December" symbolizes the cold, the darkness, and loneliness.
