Fish, chicken, and virtually any other meats are all good foods to lose weight with.

It is what you put on the fish or meats which can hinder your efforts.

My tip is to understand where sugar lurks and make a conscious effort to reduce your daily sugar intake.

This really helps lose weight quickly and is a great healthy, and low cost option.

If you eat it in moderation, and include it into your calories for the day, no. It won't make you fat, and can actually be very healthy. Fish is high in omega-3 fatty acids, which are really great for you. Just make sure that when you eat fish, to pick a kind that's low-Mercury, and that you grill it or bake it. Fried fish is loaded with calories and isn't as good for you.

It depends on how much you eat. Loosing weight is about balancing the calories in and the calories out.

If you eat more calories than you use up then you are going to put on weight. For example if you eat 1500 calories a day but only use 1000 calories a day then the surplus 500 calories will be stored in your body = fat.

Of course good cooking methods and healthy food helps.

Yes, plain steamed, poached, broiled, or grilled fish can help you lose weight. But not fish that is covered in breadcrumbs or batter and then fried.
