It depends on your specialty within the field. If your circumstance prohibit you from working on weekends, it could be an issue at times. For example, religious convictions, family responsibilities etc. Still, you should not base your choice of career on this. Many employers are flexible and understand the issues of work/life situations. If you are concerned about working on weekends because you just don't like to. Then you do not have a passion for the field, and should seek other career options.
to answer this question i would first like to give the questionaire the definition of of psychology. in the literal sense psychology is a branch of science in which human behaviour is been studied, when we say human behaviour it is been divided into different branches, then when we say psychologist it also has its own branches which some of them are clinical psychologist, industrial psychologist, criminologist etc. so it depends on the branch of psychology you are talking about. but not withstanding as far as human being are consigned a psychologist is eligible to work in the hotel, a psychologist can work anywhere as far as human being are consigned peter oluoti
Psychologists typically work standard business hours, which are generally from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Some psychologists may also offer evening or weekend appointments to accommodate clients' schedules.
It all depends on your choosing. You most certainly will be required to work some weekends at a hospital. You may avoid weekend work if you work in a doctor's office.
Counseling can be a stepping stone to being a psychologist. The difference is the degree. A counselor only needs a masters, while a psychologist needs a doctorate since psychologist are doctors who specify in the study of psychology in whatever area of psychology that they chose to study or practice in. I guess the true similarity in a psychologist and a counselor is that they both study and practice in psychology. A counselor can work for a psychologist. That's about it.
Well, we do have staff in different countries, so there are people on during most hours of the day, and most days... but each staff member does have a weekend where they are not required to work. If they get on the site after hours or during their weekend, it is just because they personally want to check in, or have time. They aren't required to be on the site by the company during any weekend hours. The only exception would be if a server went down or the site stopped functioning for some reason... then people would be required to come in and fix it fast. :)
Sigmund Freud was a psychologist. He was well-known for his work in psychoanalysis and is considered one of the founding figures of psychotherapy.
Intervention is needed from a child psychologist because all of you have enabled your son's behavior from the beginning and the monster is there to stay! When he is faced with someone he doesn't know (psychologist) he will act differently and in time the psychologist can change your child's actions, but, pay attention to the psychologist because ALL of you have to work together and do as the psychologist says or you are wasting your money!
