A fourteen-year-old wine will be drinkable if it is of sufficient quality to last such a time. Reds, high sugar and high alcohol wines will last better than most whites and low alcohol/sugar wines. Typically most whites should be drunk within three years, whereas reds can often keep for much longer. However, quality whites like Sauternes or Spätleses will keep for many years.

When wine is completely soured, it forms wine vinegar, which can be mixed with oil to make salad dressing, or used to pickle cucumbers, etc. If the wine is only partially soured, I have found that if you mix it with grape juice, or with grape flavored drink of some kind, the result can be quite drinkable (and even delicious).

More than 24 hours and the quality starts to disipate rapidly, however, it can still be drinkable after 5 days if corked and chilled. For some, this depends on what your definition of "drinkable" is...
