Could be your clutch going out, I had a VW Getta that wouldn't go into some gears. But it also lacked in power when you gave it gas.
There is a plastic ring which positions the gear stick to select gears...if you take the gear stick cover off and have a look where the arm goes thru the plastic housing towards the engine. If you can see broken plastic anywhere, either in the frame or broken off sliding around the arm, this is your problem...easy fixed
The gear only goes up to rank 3 for faction.
Most likely a broken gear cluster
a noisy second gear in your transmission is that your second gear might have broken gear tooth which is mostly the problem with my cars.either the second gear on the counter gear or the second gear itself.
what current goes back and forth, or oscillates, rather than traveling in only one direction
Only because it goes nowhere in picture
the detents could be broken or clutch drag. (i only know these two answers.)
you can't it only goes up to gear two. To switch gears press the B button.

Third gear could have a broken tooth, chipped tooth or bent tooth on the gear and only makes a noise when it has drive pressure applied to it, so either way when pressure is applied it makes a noise.
Well it could only need a cable or passing gear rod adjustment, or it could be it is broken and needs to be replaced. It is usually connected on the intake where the carberator or air intake linkage is at. You can usually tell by the spring action when you move the lever it is connected that goes downward towards the transmission. Unless you have a standard shift, in which you wont have a passing gear.
No GNC goes not sell any fitness gear. They only sell fitness and nutrition supplements. To find fitness gear you should try going to a sporting goods store.
