A typical 'good' BP is quoted usually at the 120/60 mark. Everyone is different, but the Systolic [first reading] is normally higher than 105- often far too high for good health. The Diastolic [lower] is the one that reflects your arterial resting state and if blocking of arteries occurs- then this reading will naturally go up. This tends to happen with increasing age. As BP goes up and down during the day- one reading is not that meaningful. Other factors, like genetics and physical fitness, come into how your cardiovascular risk is assessed -so you have to get checked over and see what is acceptable for you and take advice on how to proceed.
