It's usually possible to earmark the money so they go to what you want but that can depend on who you are donating to. Ask the organization you are giving money to. If you are concerned about the Susan G Komen stop funding Planned Parenthood, their money which is a lot and from a very large organization, was earmarked to cancerscreenings and tests only. Thye were never used for abortion.
