Its night and the hermit crab wont come out the shell but its not dead so what do you do?

you can try dipping it in its water, sometimes they will come out, if no, it may be preparing to shed its skin, if that's the case it might need to be in there to prepare for the upcoming event, they are funny creatures, and just do there thing, chill if its still alive he knows hat its doing
