Of course it's wrong. If you are absolutely positive that the baby is your child, you need to develop a bond with that child. As a father, you have parental rights and those rights include being able to see your baby with liberal visitation. You are also obligated to support this child. After all, your baby mama cheated....NOT the baby!

Whatever you do, don't punish the child by losing contact. I understand that you feel betrayed by the child's mother, but you can't allow your feelings to reflect on the baby. Take the high road and make arrangements to see your child as much as possible and please don't be tempted to slander the mother to the child when he or she gets older. You are both the parents and need to be mature enough to put your feelings aside to help that child grow with as little "conflict" as possible.

Now, if you feel that the baby isn't yours because this woman cheated on you, that's a different story. Then, you need to insist on a DNA test. There should be no problem with your baby mama agreeing to this if she is positive you are the father. You don't even have to have this done in a clinic or hospital; they now have home DNA tests. Ask someone about them in your local pharmacy. They are relatively inexpensive and give accurate results.
