They would have used them on both London and Moscow and might have won. This is why the Manhattan Project was necessary!
London was the a target as it is the capital city and home to a large population as well as the government and royal family as well as many famous landmarks, damage to any of these would potentially help to demoralise people. Coventry was a target due to its many factories helping to supply the war effort, destruction of these would help to prevent supply of weapons.
Germans - DeutscheThe plural of German would be Deutschen.
Many people say that the "Blitz" was just a single even. This however is not true. In your case you are wrong completley (No offense). There was never a blitzkrieg of Brittian. However London was a main target of German bombings, the reason why was because the German's figured that constant bombings of the nations capital would finnaly were th Brittish down and weaking them to the point to which they would have no choice but to surrender
Germans
They would have had to have had an airplane or missile that could cross the Atlantic Ocean to deliver the device to it's target. The US had such a weapon; and a B-29 SUPERFORTRESS to deliver the device to it's target. And that bomber still had to have an island close enough to Japan to successfully drop it's payload onto it's target. Having a super weapon is no good, if it can't reach it's target.
This part of the book is set in England in WW II at the time the Germans were bombing many cities, including London (see "The Blitz"). Families in cities frequently sent their children into the country so that the children would be safe from the bombing attacks.
Germans...I think.
Hitler had the notion that the Londoners would beg the parliament and the Prime Minister or the King to surrender to the Nazi Germans if they were bombed enough times. He failed to understand that it would only reinforce their resolve to defeat the Nazis.

They couldn't fight the Germans back because they didn't have enough weapons to fight back to the Germans and when a shipped tried to get weapons or leave the Germans would torpedo it.
