They would have had to have had an airplane or missile that could cross the Atlantic Ocean to deliver the device to it's target. The US had such a weapon; and a B-29 SUPERFORTRESS to deliver the device to it's target. And that bomber still had to have an island close enough to Japan to successfully drop it's payload onto it's target. Having a super weapon is no good, if it can't reach it's target.
No, not the Germans. The Germans were already defeated (May 1945) when the US dropped the first Atomic Bomb on Japan in August 1945. The Japanese moral was affected by the two Atomic Bombs used against them. This caused them to surrender.
Wanted to developer the atomic bomb before Germans
when Soviets explode first atomic bomb
Who knows which country started on the atomic bomb research first. Japan burned up much of their research. The Germans did the same. The US kept their records but we don't know who started researching first. We only know the US actually finished the research and developed the bomb.
The invention of the atomic bomb did not occur until late in WWII not WWI. There was no such weapon as an atomic bomb in WWI, nor were their any planes that could have handled the weight.
The Enola Gay dropped the first atomic bomb.
The city of Hiroshima was the place where the first atomic bomb was dropped.
18th May1998, but its not atomic bomb (its nuclear bomb)
because they knew if they didnt the Germans would
Physicists world wide knew about the possibility for atomic power and atomic blast. They knew about it long before the Manhattan Project developed atomic power and atomic bombs. It was Physicist Einstien who wrote a letter to FDR to let him know there was evidence of the Germans looking into the idea of building an atomic bomb.
The Germans did not drop an atomic bomb on Japan or on anyone. It was the US which dropped two atomic bombs on Japan (specifically on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki) in 1945.
The conception and the development of the atomic bombs were started in 1942 when Einstein contacted Roosevelt to warn him the Germans were dabbling in atomic bomb ideas. It was completely manufactured and ready to drop in 1945.
