Joins the palatine bone to the maxilla?
The hard palate joins the horizontal palatine bone plate with the maxilla palatine process. It is also know as the roof of the mouth.
The roof of the nasal cavity is formed by the (2) nasal bones The floor is formed by the palatine bone posteriorly and palatine process of the maxilla anteriorly The sides of the nasal cavity is mostly made up of the maxillary bone, as well as parts of the palatine bone, medial pterygoid plate and lateral mass of the ethmoid bone
The main ones are the Frontal bone, the Nasal bone, the Maxilla, the Mandible and the Zygomatic bone. If you look into the orbit there are a few more but these are usually not considered to be superficial. There the Spehnoid bone, the Ethmoid bone, the Lacrimal bone and theres even a tinye part of the Palatine bone.
