You should get tested. It won't do any harm, and there is perhaps a slim chance that he might have passed on the HIV virus. Of course, he may have been sensible and used a condom with all his gay contacts, or used a condom when he was with you. Unless you shared needles, then having sex is the only way you could have caught it from him. If you are HIV positive, the medication now is very good. One or two pills a day and you will have no problems. Sorry this is a bit gloomy. However, get tested first. You don't need to worry now.
