2002 Mazda tribute, what is cylinder misfire My #5 cylinder has a misfire. Battery light also flickers according to idle. So far not alternator. Alternator and battery was replaced maybe 2 years ago.
Battery is not charging due to defective alternator or the battery itself needs to be replace.
Either the battery is dead or your battery terminals are not hooked up right or loose, or you have a bad alternator, that needs tested
how to change alternator in a 2003 mazda tribute 2.0L
Its probable the alternator
Changing a battery on a Mazda Tribute is very easy to do. The battery is held in place by a bracket. Take the bracket off and then remove the battery terminals from the old battery. Take the old battery out and replace it with a new one.
Just had one replaced. It cost $600.00. Most of that was for labor because it is located on the bottom side of the engine and you have to remove all kinds of parts just to get to it. I think the alternator itself was under $200.00
No, you've much more likely got a bad ground somewhere. If the alternator fails, the car will continue to operate so long as there is still sufficient charge left in the battery.
You don't. You have to tear apart half of the front end to get to the alternator,.. might as well buy another car.
Estimate from the Dealer was $850, my mechanic charged me $500. Half cost of remanufactured alternator and the other half is for installation.
it needs to be replaced
