That just happened to me, check if its in park. My truck wouldn't start either when the key was stuck, but it was still in drive. Otherwise are you aware that there is a release button? At the time I can't get my key out now either, but I think its cause I took a hammer to the release button before I realized it was in Drive.
A bad cylinder had will cause your 1999 Nissan to not start. Check the oil to see if there is fuel in the oil.
The key is probably jammed into the ignition by the parking brake you put there
It seems that there could be a problem with your starter. It happened to me too.
The problem lies in the ignition switch - had a Nissan pick-up that did the same thing.
try wiggling the steering wheel it has a lock on it
Turning my ignition on and wont turn off because it is faulty.
Starter, battery, battery connections, neutral switch,
Have you checked the 30 Amp fuse ?
If a 1997 Nissan Maxima will crank but will not start, there could be a problem with the fuel pump. Another possibility is an issue with the ignition switch.
its either the starter or your ignition
change ignition switch and/or tumbler
Do you mean the check engine light does not come on when you turn the ignition on? Possibly the bulb is burnt out.
