Your blower fan is most likely cracked. The blower tends to get really loud and air does not come out at the rate it should. Think they are 20 bucks or less. Your blender door could also be broken.

I am dealing with the same problem on my 98 and what I've discovered is that both the blower motor and the resistor need to be replaced. Brought it to the shop they quoted 500.00. Online someone said that they installed it in an hour or so. I ordered both parts from O'Reilly's Auto Parts for less than 60.00 total and will put it in myself. Hope this is helpful.
