you can try wynns gear leak stop-it thickens oil and swells the seals.
If you do not see an obvious leak, then my guess would be a blown head gasket.
I assume you mean head gasket. Symptoms are: White smoke from exhaust, loosing coolant with no apparent leak, oil level overfull, a white foamy substance on the underside of the oil fill cap, air bubbles escaping from the radiator, and sometimes an engine misfire. A compression test will verify if the gasket is blown.
White smoke is water vapour. Possible head gasket problems
If your gasket has blown and overheating occured then skimming will almost certainly be needed. Send it for testing and skimming better to be safe than sorry.
Your piston rings may be bad. Do a compression test to find out.
sorry to say the head gasket wasnt done properly the last time go back to the bloke who done it and wack him i had the same thing they are ment to skim the head after the gasket change
Hi, Head gasket sits between the engine block and the cylinder head on all vehicles, and seals the cylinders, oil and water cooling systems. 1 other location is on the shelf in the parts department!!
this holds the cooling fluid for the radiator
Head gasket . check for gunge inside oil filler opening (rocker cover/ cam cover). water leaking internally would explain . hence head gasket !!
I had the same problem and it turned out to be that the two outlets from the water drip tray in the bonnet were clogged with leaves.
Fiat owns Fiat
Punto head gasket change is quite an easy job to do. It is almost impossible to give step by step instructions on these pages. The best that I could suggest, is for you to get a Haynes manual for the Punto this will show the exact procedure to follow.
