Quite possibly. She will have to take a test to find out for certain but it is very likely. You could ask her if she knows why the word dog is navy blue, if she was a synesthete she'd say "It just is" or struggle to answer because the two thing appear to her as if they were the same thing, where as a nonsynesthete would try and come up with a reason. Perhaps the word dog simply triggers a memory that makes her think of the color blue. I have synesthesia, and I can almost see it, just kinda appears I guess. Well, it's way too difficult to explain. I would use the word "is" waaaaay too much. Dog, to me, is a gray word, despite the way I love dogs themselves.
