Check the ground wire for proper connection to back of globe and to chassis.
The connectors for that side of the vehicle may be damaged. There may also be a problem with the fuse going to the headlamp.
It means you have a headlamp out. Check both high and low beams. They use the same bulb for both. It should be an H7.

Headlights that serve as a high and low beam have two different filiments in them. The low beam filiment is most likely burnt out. Time to replace it.
There is a bad ground in your headlight wiring i had the exact same problem with my 98 cavalier. Not sure which ground it is because there is a few of them.
