All life on earth is "Carbon based"; meaning they are composed of Hydrocarbons.
One carbon atom can be attached to other carbon atom. By this unique property of carbon, that you can get very large number of molecules. No other atom has got this property. So life without the carbon atom is not possible.
While carbon-based life forms are the most common on Earth, it is theoretically possible for non carbon-based life forms to exist. However, there is currently no evidence of such life forms on our planet.
Earth is an excellent example of a planet that supports the kind of DNA-based life found on this planet. It has the proper range of temperatures, seasons, amount of liquid water, and proportions of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, oxygen, and other vital components necessary for the creation of such life.
Currently, Earth is the only planet where carbon-based life forms are known to exist. However, the search for life, including carbon-based life forms, continues on other planets and moons within our solar system and beyond.
Some people do believe that life can be silicon based but so far its just a theory with no definite answer.
Earth- We are the only planet that can support life.

At the moment, only the planet Earth is known to have life. All the others are speculation based on nothing more than distance from the Sun and the possible existence of water. It will be many hundreds, if not millions of years before we can prove that life exists on another exoplanet.
Earth is called a life sustaining planet because it has life on it, and is currently the only known planet that supports life.
The planetary model of an atom is simple. The nucleus is the planet and the electrons are the moons in the model.
Earth gave birth to life. Life exists on this planet.
