What are the advantages and disadvantages of Tropical forest?

One advantage is that they hold a wide variety of floral, fauna and wildlife. they are a source of oxygen and fresh air

One disadvantage is that they produce more greenhouse gases then all of mankind. The rotting vegetation is a known source of far more CO2 and methane then man produces altogether.
