hi, usually (even though this is a safety feature :) if you reach under the back of the drivers seat, right near the pieace that you put your seat belt into there is a wire there comming out of that buckle. There will be a little wiring harness (only two wires I think) disconnect this harness and yo…ur set! But this harness is a real pain to get to. Use a flashlight to help and small hands couldn't hurt either. ( Full Answer )

you can not it is controled by the computer if you are having problems with it idle low or stalling on you at the traffic light with the ac on or idle funny what you can try is cleaning the throttle body to do this get your self a can of brake cleaner and some cotton rags. take the air breather off …the throttle body and spray brake cleaner on the rag and find a screw driver or something to help you hold that goldish flap called a butterfly open and wipe the black residue off and you can spray some brake cleaner in there but not a whole bunch and clean it up the best you can and that will help it idle better. don't worry if your truck is harder to start the first time you fire it up after you clean it that is normal. if that dose not fix it do a tune up on it and if you do? do not buy any spark plug other that ac delco that is what gm puts in if you put a diffrent brand in there you are asking for trouble and if you do it your self just tell the person looking up the parts for you that you want what the factory calls for. hope this helps . Answer . Probably computer controlled and not adjustable. Answer . Probably computer controlled and not adjustable ( Full Answer )

i Anybody who tells you to remove the four screws to get to the blower motor on the SIERRA is FOS! First remove the cover under the glovebox- No you don't have to remove the glove box. If you can remove the 2 easy ones using 9/32 and a stubby, the third one you can loosen and just let the cove…r drop. Now disconnect the resistor from the motor. Its a clip so do this in the daytime. Locate the blower motor. Its under the glovebox. Look for the tab on the top of it, by sticking your head in there. rotate the blower motor clockwise and it will drop right out. Don't lose the screws, the hardest part is putting it back together. ( Full Answer )
Answer . try website http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/ . This is a very useful site, but it is for security(how to wire alarms) nothing about the radio

Before doing the chassis lube, pump a little grease out of the gun to clean out any dirt that may have gotten into it. Also clean off any dirt/grease on each zerk before attaching the grease gun fitting, so you don't pump it into the joints. For the upper and lower ball joints and tie-rod ends, pump… enough grease into them until the boots are firm to the touch. Be careful not the pump too much in them and possibly bust the boot. For other suspension and steering components, continue pumping until grease oozes out the joint between the two components. If you have a drive shaft with a zerk on the u-joint, be sure to grease it too. 1 - Drivers side, Upper ball joint 2 - Drivers side, Outer tie-rod end 3 - Drivers side, Lower ball joint . Reduced 67%. 337 x 450 (53.18K). 4 - Drivers side, Inner tie-rod end 5 - Drivers side, Pitman arm (at relay rod) . Close up view of the 90 degree, 6mm, zerk that I replaced on the end of the idler arm, where it connects to the relay rod. With the factory straight zerk, it's next to impossible to get a grease gun fitting on it because of the AC compressor/mount that is above it. Ince replacing this zerk, I've heard that if you turn your wheels to one side (can't remember which) that you can access the factory straight zerk. Since I had already swapped mine out, I haven't tried this. . Reduced 67%. 450 x 337 (52.72K). 6 - Passengers side, Idler arm (at relay rod) (Different view. Well, it can vary between a 3.23, a 3.42, and a 3.73, but odds are it's a 3.42, as 3.73s are rarely found in non-4x4 trucks, and 3.23s are a bit more rare than the 3.42s
A '96 jimmy does not have a body control module (bcm), it does, however, have an engine control module (ecm) located ontop of the coolant reservoir.

The 2000 GMC fuse box is located in the engine compartment. Thefunction of each fuse is listed on the inside cover of the fusebox.
It's located on the passenger side, on the bellmouth of the transmission case. The cables can be hard to get to. It's easier to take the two mounting bolts out and drop the starter out before disconnecting the wires. Watch for shims when dropping starter.
I'm no expert, but I have the same truck. I think It depends on what your gears are 4.10 or 3.42. This Information can be found in your glove box mixed in with of those codes on a sticker in there. If you have a GU6, this means you have 3.42 gears. If you have a GT5 then you have 4.10 gears. The own…ers manual says 3.42 gears can pull 7400lbs and 4.10 gears can pull 8400lbs. You should double check this information with your dealer before towing, but looking around on the internet that's what I've determined. ( Full Answer )
Got the info straight from GM;. 2005 Sierra 1500 5.3L Crewcab shortbox 3.73 axle ratio 4x4 is rated at 7400lbs towing capacity.
The 3500 series dually with the 7.4L gas engine and a 4.10 ratio rear axle had a maximum factory tow rating of 10,500 Lbs. With the 4.55 rear axle ratio the rating increased to 12,000 Lbs. for the 4x4 and 12,500 for the 4x2. Some non-dually 3500 series trucks came with the 5.7L engine. Their maxi…mum tow rating was 8,500 Lbs. -- same as the 2500 series trucks. All diesel powered 3500 series trucks in '98 and '99 were tow rated at 8,500 Lbs. maximum. The weak link for the 7.4L dually is said to be the OEM torque converter used in the 4L80E automatic overdrive transmission. With an aftermarket high performance towing specific torque converter and added transmission fluid cooling the 7.4L '98 and '99 GMC 3500 dual rear wheel trucks with a 4.55 rear end can easily tow a 14,000 pound fifth wheel or goose neck trailer provided at least load range D tires are used. OEM brakes (disc front, drum rear), suspension components and springs are adequate for this weight range. Do not overlook your hitch rating. 10,000# is the max for a 2" receiver with a 2-5/16" ball and weight distributing spring bars. The 2-1/2" Titan receiver is rated for 12,000#. Fifth wheel and gooseneck hitches rated for up to 25,000 pounds are available. ( Full Answer )

There is probably not one that you can change. Gm started putting some of them inside the fuel tank so you never have to change them unless you pull off the tank to change the pump and all.
Standing in the front of the engine, It will be on the top of the right valve cover in the back.
In the gas tank and you can purchase it sepratly from gm for around 65 bucks
It is right beside the battery and just under the upper radiator hose were it hooks to the radiator.

I believe that they are 5 1/4. Go to Crutchfield.com they will hook you up with all the sizes and specs.

What and where is the evap emission control system vent valve solenoid located on a 2005 gmc sierra z71?
There is one solenoid on the charcoal evap. canister in the engine compartment. There is another one located near the gas tank underneath the chassis. That is the one that usually goes bad as road salt and moisture attack that one.
Six foot. if it is a Z71. But some do have an eight foot bed.

There are four ways to find a ratio. 1 A dealer can normally tell from the vin number. 2 There are normally tags or labels on the axle that have part number, gear ratio, and fluid requirement info. 3 You can count how many times you have to turn the driveshaft to get one complete turn of the… tires. 4 You can divide the number of teeth on the ring gear and divide by number of teeth on the pinion. no the trans from a 96 sierra is for the old small block chevy 5.0 5.7 engines. your 4.8 has a completely different bolt pattern due to being a different engine family
It would depend on the extent of the damage. If you question the quote from a body shop you can always get a second opinion from another shop.
