From under the car you can see the large plasic cover beneath the entire engine compartment. Near the front edge of this cover and slightly offset to the passenger side is an access panel held in by two or three screws. Take off this panel and above it you will see a canister with a plasic cap at the bottom of it. Inside this canister housing is the oil filter. It is called a cartridge-type which means it is a plain element without a case or anything. To remove it, first take out the allen screw in the bottom of the plastic cap to let the housing drain, then remove the cap itself. The new filter comes with two rubber o-rings. One is the seal for the drain plug and one is the seal for the plastic cap. Make sure to replace these o-rings.
