crank shaft sensor is located on the driver side flywheel housing. its easy to find just follow the trans shift cable up towhere it goes into the car body sensor is held down into the housing by one cap screw 12mm hex head. have fun changing the sensor,can be done but will require patents. that shift cable is right in the way.
Inside the distributor (dis), the sensor is small and on the round disc in the middle of the dis. it is also attached to the wire that run's in to the distributor.
4.0L, on the top of the shaft on the passenger side center of the engine.

It will bolt in. The head on the 2001 does not have the same hole location for the temperature sensor. Also both manifolds are different.
