If looking in a cup of coffee could predict any aspect of the weather, then one wonders why the local weatherman - often with a cup of coffee in his hand or on his desk - is not right all the time.

The only thing a cup of coffee can tell you is the weather now. Put it outside. If it freezes, it's cold. If you see a lot of splashes in it, it's raining or hailing. If it evaporates, it's hot out.
