I also wish someone would answer this question as my 1997 Ford contour does the same thing. It shakes and vibrates very bad when it idles and it idles really low. If it is automatic it is. It is a very feminine Car. If you get an mx6 you should get the v6 and manual transmission for a sportier drive and look ... making it more manly. Also if you want, Google up KLZE Its Mazda's Japanese 220hp motor...No car is a chick car when it has 220hp
possible that it was inproperly installed or needs replacing and it could be the clutch to so open er up.
check for vaccum leaks.
Replace the idle air control valve right below the throtle body this can be a very expensive part so go to a u pull it junk yard
It could be a dirty air filter or a dirty throttle body.
You could have a bad exhaust valve
