By taking illegal drugs this effect our brain, our brain becomes weak and we are not able to control what we are doing. We will loose many blood cells and because of that, our brain is beginning to play mind games with us. You can see when somebody has taken cannabis because they begin to show slow reactions and unexpected giggling. In addition, illegal drugs effect our nervous system this shows off by shaking hands a lot and we are unable to stop it from doing so.
Marijuana is thought to dull the pain receptors in the same way opiate based drugs.
well answer this, when i previously smoked weed, it acted as if numbed my hands and legs and the first time i smoked it, i freaked out bc i didn't know what was going on. but months later i smoked again and i understood what was going on so i was cool with it, but that was four days ago..i know I'm still not high and i feel like my nervous system has been effected big time because its hard to feel where I'm walking and to pick up things because i almost cant feel them! whats up with me I'm freaking out!! i just want it to go away.
Cannabinoid receptors (primarily CB1), which are found in higher concentrations than any other receptor in the brain, are densely distributed in both neuronal and glial areas, and the endocannabinoids are thought to play a critical neuromodulatory role. Cannabinoid CB1 receptor activation is known to modify the release of several neurotransmitters, including glutamate and gamma-aminobutyric acid, and to be involved in motor control, cognition, memory consolidation, emotional responses, motivated behavior and homeostasis.
The CB1 receptor is expressed in the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland, where its activation modulates all the endocrine hypothalamic-peripheral endocrine axes, including the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Endocannabinoids have been found to mediate the glucocorticoid-induced inhibition of the release of corticotrophin-releasing factor within the paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus, leading some researchers to postulate that alterations in the normal "tone" of the endocannabinoid system might be associated with the development of stress-related diseases, including anxiety, depression and obesity.
Recent studies show that vigorous exercise stimulates the release of anandamide, and even exercise of moderate intensity activates the endocannabinoid system in the brain, inducing beneficial changes in mental status including analgesia, sedation, anxiolysis, and a sense of well-being.
Cannabinoids have been found to be neuroprotective agents against excitotoxicity in vitro and acute brain damage in vivo. 2-Arachidonoyl glycerol (2-AG), specifically, has been shown to significantly reduce brain edema, infarct volume and hippocampal cell death after closed head injury in mice, resulting in significant improvements in functional recovery.
Cannabinoids have also been shown to downregulate microglial production of cytokines of the IL-2 family, lessening neuroinflammatory processes involved in demyelinating diseases such as multiple sclerosis.
In other research, cannabinoids have demonstrated neuroprotective antioxidant effects, specifically, an upregulation of mRNA levels of Cu,Zn-superoxide dismutase, a key enzyme in endogenous defenses against oxidative stress. In these studies, cannabinoids provided neuroprotection against the progressive degeneration of nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurons occurring in Parkinson's disease.

If you smoke Weed or Pot your nervous system slows down and you cannot react properly.
it doesnt. SMOKE WEED ERRYDAY
Tobacco effects mainly the respiratory system and nervous system. Alcohol effects the circulatory system the digestive system (e.g. liver) and the nervous system.
Alcohol temporarily slows the reactions of the nervous system.
Marijuana alone has no effect on your body, but smoking anything is bad for your lungs (respiratory system) and kills brain cells (nervous system)
Yes, alcohol's primary effects are on the central nervous system.
You can get a nervous breakdown from stress.
It dilates the bronchioles.
The central nervous system.Multiple Sclerosis effects the central nervous system
Calms you down
you will die.
Alcohol. It is a CNS (central nervous system) depressant. this is a guess on what is the most used - but it seems like a logical one. THC (marijuana) is not technically a CNS depressent - and i bet alcohol is still used more often. Though both chemicals have effects on the GABA system
The parasympathetic and sympathetic divisions of the autonomic nervous system or antagonistic. They have opposing effects.
No, drugs can have vastly different effects on the central nervous system.
