Translucent. A material which transmits 100% (or close to 100%) of the light striking it is called transparent. A material which blocks 100% of the incident light is called opaque.
Opaque
Reflects light : Non-luminous (Ex. Moon) Transmits Light : Luminous (Ex. Sun) I hope you got it! -Ajlan Wasfi Khan
opaque material: some light will get reflected and some will get absorbed transparent material: light will go though it
translucent
ANY material reflects light. Some do so better than others.
Opaque
Translucent materials transmit some light and scatter some as well.

Any material object or opaque film blocks the direct transmission of light, althoughthere may remain some residual illumination due to diffraction around the edges ofthe filter.A polarizing pfilter blocks the transmission of light whose E-vector is not alignedparallel to the pfilter's preferred direction.
Every material transmits sound. Some better than others.
A lens is something that transmits and refracts light. Some examples of where you can find lenses are your eyes and cameras.
some of the light is reflected, some of the light is absorbed, and some of the light passes though.

A transmitter transmits some type of signal that is intended to be received by a receiver(s) some distance away.A radio transmitter transmits radio (or TV) signals.A microwave transmitter transmits microwave signals. An IR remote control transmitter transmits IR control signals.A fiber optic transmitter transmits pulses of IR or visible light through an optical communication fiber.A telephone transmitter is the part of the telephone that you speak into, it transmits an electric signal corresponding to your voice. This is also a type of transducer, called a microphone.etc.
It reacts to light in some way.
