You have to re-sink it just put it in the ignition turn to the on position then turn back and it is now re-sank.

It is no BIG deal. All you have to do is rewire the whole thing. Follow the instructions in the owners manual for resetting the remote. The remote entry transmitter in GM vehicles must be reset when you replace the battery. Usually that consists of standing near the vehicle and holding the remote entry for about 10 to 15 seconds, but refer to the owners manual to make sure.
